GHANA HIGH COMMISSIONER TO THE UK IS RECOVERING FROM CORONAVIRUS.
Ghanas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Papa Owusu Ankomah has been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Royal Free Hospital, Archway North, London after he was infected with Coronavirus.
The Ghanaian Diplomat was in critical condition hence was admitted in ICU but the Director of Communication for the UK branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ansah Obofuor, has confirmed. Papa Owusu Ankomah was taken out of ICU the same day on Friday, April 10, 2020, adding that he is recuperating.
Comforting news for him and his family and the whole of London Mission, a source said.
We earlier reported that Mr. Owusu Ankomah has tested positive for coronavirus and has been admitted at a treatment facility.
The UK is currently among the top 10 countries with the most confirmed Covid-19 cases recording over 65,000 cases and more than 8,900 deaths.
About two days ago, the National Health Service (NHS) of the UK says Britain was the fifth country in the world with the highest coronavirus death toll.
