GA CHIEFS MUST INVEST IN GA MUSICIANS

GADANGME NORYAA :WHICH GROUP OF PEOPLE WILL YOU SAY PROJECTS GA /DANGME LANGUAGE IN EVERYTHING THEY DO?

Most Gadangmes are saying that our Ga language is at the diminishing stage, they are worried as to why this is happening in Accra.

As Gamei(Ga people), we should know that, it is our responsibility to ensure that the Ga language and culture is maintained and practiced day by day not only in Accra but every corner of the world, if nothing is impossible, why should you doubt this?

What do we see in Accra, Ga people are promoting other languages rather than their own Ga language, permit me to use the Akans or the Ashanti's for being good example in projecting their TWI/FANTI language.

The real question is, why can't Ga/Dangme people do better than that?I am afraid to say that, It is very pathetic and awful to see "majority" Ga people in Accra allowing themselves to be used in promoting other languages in Accra,if Ga people don't come to the full understanding that, they must speak ONLY GA AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE to anyone who come in contact with them, then the worry about Ga language diminishing will remain the same.

It is high time our Ga traditional leaders start to invest in our Ga/Dangme musicians, yes there is the need for our Ga and Dangme traditional leaders to show love and attention to our musicians. Our Ga/ Dangme musicians and film makers are the KEY PROMOTER'S OF OUR LANGUAGE.

If chiefs in every part of Greater Accra start to invest in our musicians, it will automatically change the lives of our musicians and for the betterment of our Ga/Dangme language.

The Bible says "Act 2:8" and how is it that, we hear each of us in his own NATIVE LANGUAGE!!

What does this mean to you?
