Ada-East District Health Directorate organizes a mid-year review meeting for stakeholders.

The Ada East District Health Directorate has organized a mid-year review and report session for stakeholders in the district at Ada -Foah. The various health facilities under the health directorate did a presentation to report on issues under the period of review. The health personnel in charge of Pediatorkorpey was not happy some few women decided to deliver at home under unsafe conditions.  Agorkpor and Pute CHPS compounds reported of issues relating to huge electricity bills and lack of portable water to their facilities respectively. 

The administrator of the Ada East district hospital, Mr.  Daniel Poley,  in his presentation mentioned that the district, under the period of review has recorded zero per cent maternal and neonatal  (under 5) death. He was however not happy that statistics for the number of people in Ada going for routine medical check-up in a year keeps dropping. He called on stakeholders to encourage and sensitize the public on the benefits of regular medical check-ups. Among the challenges of the hospital,  Mr.  Poley mentioned that the hospital currently needs a pickup vehicle for general duties and also called on the National Health Insurance Scheme to speed up the claims payment process in other not to run the hospital's operation to a halt. He also mentioned that the hospital land under threat from encroaches and wish the district assembly could fastrack the process on the land documentation. Dr. Phillip Narh,  a senior medical doctor in the district was full of praise for the medical personnel who go on health outreach to the undeserved communities. He also praised the commitment of community health nurses and other health professionals who dedicates themselves for immunization in the district.
